morning routine

Hello lovely people, I'm looking all 'au-naturale' in these morning pictures :)

Every morning I have a hot cup of honey and lemon water. It helps kick your digestive system into action-which is great to have before doing yoga-and is great when you have a cold-which I do. The lemon adds to the already present acid and flushes out unwanted toxins. Honey acts as an antibacterial and beats infection that may be present in the body. With the addition of doing asana yoga, your digestive system will be smiling. After having some, I feel instantly energized, as the honey is an immediate energy booster and the smell of the lemon naturally relaxes and can help uplift your mood.
I highly recommend that in the morning you have this wonderful drink, as it really works wonders and has many other amazing properties which you can read into online.

My friend  also showed me this amazing recipe for vegan pancakes. They are basically protein pancakes and they are delicious!
All you need is:
-Coconut oil to cook them in
-Vegan protein powder
- Coconut milk
-Oats
-Chia seeds

I put blueberries and cashew nuts to give myself more to eat, as I love a big breakfast!
I hope everyone is having a great beginning to September!

Dream Scape

This virtual moodboard is reflecting my obsession with the complimenting colour's pink and blue. With the weather getting warmer, I find myself really loving the use of the two colours, particularly in the more pale tones, such as baby blue and pastel pink. All of my recent artwork, jewellery and photography have been exploring these two colours. I often wish these photo's were snippets of my life, just so I could feel proud of the great colour coordination.

Also I have just started reading 14,000 things to be happy about, by Barbara Ann Kipfer. I highly recommend it as it opens your eyes to what was once perhaps mundane, but, suddenly becomes beautiful and perfect in the most simplest of ways.

(I'm sorry I do not own any credits to these photo's, but please message me if you know them so I can add it to the post) Images sourced from my tumblr http://multicoloured-dreams.tumblr.com/

Pura Vida

Pura Vida: Costa Rica saying for 'pure life'. It is a lifestyle which is relaxed and promotes the simple life and enjoying life.
Summer is here (sort of) and school is over (for now). I have been absorbed in a haze of warm, summer weather these last couple of days. The smell of barbecues and sun cream lingers in the heavy, warm air, stirring people in their sleep. I haven't been posting online recently, and I'm not sure why, the passion had drained out of me and my motivation with it. Sometimes I wonder why I let myself go through with such stress and things that make me unhappy...I'm still not sure why.
But, now I have a passion burning inside me and I want to do things again, I want to be creative and succeed. My passion has been brought back by this beautiful weather. My skin has turned golden and tanned(which is funny since I should burn as I have auburn hair). Me and my friend went out for the whole weekend skateboarding, photographing our adventures and eating vegan meals. Skateboarding is the best; we would skate down the roads and smile when the tarmac would be smooth under our wheels, allowing us to glide past people and cars. I have become obsessed with skating, and inspired by the likes of the Z-boys and Dogtown, and I want bring back that way of life! I like to think me and my friends are like the Z-girls, we don't care, we just want to skate!

The sky was a perfect blue, which fades as you look out to the horizon. We sat on the roof each evening to eat our meals; the sounds of people laughing in the distance. These days represent my youth, what I live for, sun, skate and photo-taking. And it's fucking awesome!
Sometimes we lose our passion and we feel weak and too insecure with ourselves, so we cower away instead of being loud. Now, I am ready to be loud again.
The light and energy from the sun has seeped into my pours and energised me. Life feels limitless and new!
I hope that there are people out there feeling the same way and living life Pura Vida.

These are the photo's from life recently.

Wild Winds

self portrait taken during a shoot
It has been a while since I last posted, almost a month. I needed a break from posting my work online, to reevaluate what I was doing, what I wanted and what I wanted my work (photography) to represent. After a while of internal thinking and questioning I have been able to answer most of these questions, and know the path I want to take and what I want my style to be. This clarification has awakened a new excitement and eagerness within me, and also brought peace; I would get so worked up over what my work was, what it meant to me, whether it was just meaningless and superficial, but now I know what to do. This abrupt change in feeling was inspired by Sally Mann's documentary 'What remains' and now Sally Mann is one of my favorite photographers, as her photos are real and not something fake and meaningless, they are photos of the things she loves.

I am now coming back to the internet with many amazing collaborations to reveal and new work which I am happy with. I am collaborating with a designer of beautiful clothing, something I have wanted to do for some time, and I am also collaborating with an amazing stylist on a year long project! So, it's safe to say I am pretty happy. On a more off topic note, I am getting into making organic, natural soap which I am really enjoying at the moment!

I will be trying to update weekly, but with starting a new school and being busy, I will do my best.

Poetry

Peace is the sacred,
door which leads to the,
mountains of tranquility.
Lost urban jungles,
Drenched in pure pale light.
And rattled key chains.
We lose our vision to,
comprehend. The power
of unity.

by Hannah

This is a poem I wrote, and is important to me and has an important message, perhaps you will understand.

Film

I have been really getting into film lately, there's a beauty to it that is so raw and magical, and the whole process of it is fascinating. I recently brought a Polaroid camera, and it is truly amazing, one of the best things I have ever brought, and I am immersed! I love waiting for the photo to develop, and the way I get a sense of nostalgia, even though there is no reason to, I think it is just the way it looks that is so appealing and magical. I hope to put on the blog some of my Polaroid photos that I have taken, but I'll have to see.
I have been falling more and more in love with photography everyday, and it's great to find something you truly love, and are passionate and motivated about, because as a teenager some of us find it hard to find our passions. So, I hope that you are all able to find your passions.
